greensboro-therapy is my private practice label and located in Greensboro, NC on New Garden Road just west of Battleground. Tele-health services are available only to individuals located in North Carolina. My particular interests include facilitating personal change, promoting effective communication, and relationship enrichment.
My therapy style promotes self-sufficiency, personal strength, purpose, intentionality, authenticity, and kindness. Theories and interventions from Person-Centered Thinking, the Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are applied on a case-by-case basis.
The therapist's role is to be a non-judgmental sounding board for your concerns. I will listen, and if problem-solving is desired, offer ideas on what you might want to do differently. However, I will not tell you what to do. No one knows what is best for you more than you as you are a unique individual. You are the one who will face the consequences of your choices, so it's important that you embrace whatever change you choose to make.
In order for counseling to be effective, it is necessary that you take an active role in the process. We will specify goals, plans, and methods as well as other aspects of your particular situation. Please plan on attending 5-8 sessions in order to maximize your ability to sustain change.
